Stacey Lewis-Vargas
LPCA
Licensed Professional Counselor Associate

I am passionate about working with children, adolescents, women, couples, and families towards achieving the goal of living a healthy and balanced life. When working with a client, I take the whole person into consideration using a strengths-based approach. Often the initial concern is only a small facet of the whole that is unique to the individual, couple, or family. It is with that in mind that I tailor my approach to meet my client where they are.

My experience includes working with children and adolescents in both a clinical and school setting, ensuring mental health supports social, emotional, and academic growth and success. Additionally, my experience expands to counseling women who have been survivors of interpersonal violence and sexual assault. I enjoy working with couples and families as I believe that the health of these relationships plays a vital role in supporting the foundation that ultimately influences the individual's mental wellbeing. I offer a Christian perspective to all who desire to include Biblical principles into their counseling approach, but I firmly believe in caring for the individual and encouraging purposeful living regardless of their background.

I am skilled in the application of various therapy models including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Reality Therapy, and Play Therapy techniques to address:

  • Trauma
  • Interpersonal Violence
  • Sexual Assault
  • Grief/loss
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • ADHD
  • Behavioral concerns
  • Parent Management
  • Stress & Difficulty Adjusting
