Terri Dierkes
LMSW
Licensed Master Social Worker

Terri believes therapy should be a place where people feel safe, respected, and truly heard. Many individuals come to counseling carrying emotions that feel overwhelming, confusing, or difficult to express. Her goal is to create a compassionate and collaborative environment where clients can explore those experiences and work toward meaningful and lasting change.

Terri works with adolescents and adults, including individuals who identify as neurodivergent, who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, or feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. She has a particular interest in supporting neurodivergent adolescents who may feel misunderstood or overwhelmed by academic, social, or emotional demands. As a Certified School Social Worker, Terri also understands the pressures adolescents face in school environments and enjoys helping young people and their families navigate those challenges with greater clarity and confidence.

Her approach to therapy is grounded in partnership. Terri believes clients often possess many strengths that can become powerful tools for growth when they are recognized and supported. Together, she works with clients to better understand patterns, develop practical strategies, and move forward with greater confidence and self-awareness.

Terri is currently pursuing her doctorate in counseling to deepen her clinical knowledge and continue growing as a therapist. She is committed to lifelong learning and to providing thoughtful, evidence-informed care to the individuals and families she serves.

For clients who desire it, Terri is also comfortable integrating Christian faith into the counseling process. She respects each client’s beliefs and values, and when requested, faith can be incorporated as a source of meaning, hope, and strength within the therapeutic journey.

Reaching out for support can be difficult, but it is also a courageous first step. Terri hopes that clients experience therapy as a place where they feel understood, supported, and encouraged as they work toward meaningful and lasting change.
